Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 1970s. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. Lennox made the decision to alter her career path following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience in the same way as others Royal Academy students. Lennox was a flute player in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She quit the group before they appeared on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist in The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut record Diva. It was released in 1993. The album received a lot of praise, both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite blues and soul from childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to become famous internationally in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva produced many successful songs, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of such songs as"No MoreI I Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has released six solo album compilations and studio albums. |
